As founders, we’re not just passionate about dogs—we’re dedicated to helping them and their owners thrive together. Let us introduce ourselves: two lifelong dog lovers from Málaga, Spain, who turned a shared dream into a reality. Meet Juan and Carmen, the heart and soul of JCDTK9.
Juan Gonzalez
Co-Founder, Lead Trainer & Dog Behaviourist
PSA Certified Decoy

I’m Juan, co-founder and lead trainer at JCDTK9. Originally from Málaga, Spain, I’ve dedicated my professional life to understanding dogs and helping families build better relationships with them through training.


My work covers puppy development, obedience and behavioural challenges, alongside protection and sport training. In 2026, I earned my Decoy Certification with the Protection Sports Association (PSA), adding to my professional development in canine behaviour and training.


I take a balanced approach, adapting the training to each dog’s temperament, experience and needs. Motivation, clear communication, consistent boundaries and owner education are central to my work.



My goal is to develop both ends of the lead: a dog with stronger skills and a family with the knowledge and confidence to maintain them in everyday life.

Carmen Millan
Co-Founder & CEO

I’m Carmen, co-founder and CEO of JCDTK9. I oversee the care, organisation and daily routines that support each dog’s training, while helping families feel informed and supported throughout their programme.


Working closely with Juan, I assist in training sessions and help maintain consistency beyond them. Within our balanced approach, I focus on clear communication, structured activity, enrichment and quality rest, adapting daily care to each dog’s individual needs.


I also support the relationship between our team and your family, helping you understand your dog’s progress and prepare for the next stage. From the first conversation to your dog’s transition home, I want you to understand what we’re doing and feel confident asking questions.



For me, attention to detail means knowing the dog in front of us, recognising what they need and ensuring their care supports the goals we’re working towards together.

We assess your dog’s behaviour, temperament and learning history alongside your family’s routines and goals. This gives us a clear starting point for a personalised programme, with priorities you understand and progress we can review together.

4. We Teach the Whole Family

Your involvement is part of the training from the beginning. We teach you how to recognise behaviour, communicate clearly and respond consistently, giving you practical skills to use at home and on walks.


For residential programmes, your learning begins while your dog is training with us.

5. Skills for Everyday Life

We work towards practical outcomes: calmer walks, better engagement, reliable responses and more settled behaviour at home. Training progresses through suitable environments and distractions, helping you and your dog apply those skills beyond the session.

6. Structure, Care & Accountability

Training extends into daily routines. We consider rest, play, exercise and consistency alongside formal sessions, and help you understand how each supports your dog’s development.
